Touching Time

A Regency Miss Thrust Forward in Time

BooKBUB Review by Karen. 5 Stars

I don’t read time travel books, no, I read Romance Suspense, Mafia, all sorts of Contemporary Romance tropes and Historical, but Historical Time Travel wasn’t even on my radar. Then I read Author B.W. Haggart’s Touching Time and I loved it. Now I won’t necessarily say it was the time-travel part that drew me in. It was the author, his writing, his descriptions, the way he draws readers in with a story that covers two different periods in time yet give you insights you never would have imagined.

I literally spent my rainy Saturday, on the couch with tea, cookies and Touching Time and enjoyed every minute of this story. How Victoria Covington’s life was in 1818, her concerns for her future, I’m sure was every woman’s concern back then. What made me love Victoria was how the author pulled in the language of the time, oh some of those names she called Sam during the course of the story! Then Sam Dalton, how he had taken over and cared for his brother, how he was bound and determined to make their lives better. These two were meant to be even with a 200-year age difference. It was romantic suspense, history, science ….. and it was wonderful!
